Nestled within the dense forests of Záhorie, this tiny cabin is designed to foster a seamless connection with the surrounding natural environment. The core design concept emphasizes integration with nature, creating a living space that is both functional and deeply immersive.
The insulation is intentionally kept simple, focusing on natural and sustainable materials. A minimalist steel frame is clad with bio-panels and cork on the interior, while durable asphalt sheeting covers the exterior. This minimalist approach to insulation aligns with the cabin’s primary goal: to maximize openness and blend the interior with the exterior.
Large folding windows and a central skylight bring the forest atmosphere directly into the cabin, flooding the space with natural light and the calming presence of the woods. These openings create a direct visual and physical link with the surrounding landscape, making the forest an integral part of the living experience.
Adaptability is a key feature of the cabin’s design. The flexible furnishings allow the compact interior to be reconfigured according to the needs of its inhabitants. The furniture can even be moved outside, extending the living space into nature. A stainless steel table with a gas stove is designed for outdoor cooking on reinforced concrete surfaces in front of the cabin, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor living.
