About the project

"Against the Laws of Gravity": A Floating Spatial Composition in a Former Factory Storage

The exhibition “Against the Laws of Gravity” reinterprets an old factory storage space by transforming it into a fluid, dynamic environment. The installation features 92 blinds suspended above the ground, creating airy, lightweight partitions that divide the vast industrial space into three distinct zones. These partitions, though seemingly static, are brought to life by the movement of visitors, whose interactions animate the space, adding a dreamlike performance that complements the exhibition’s theme of fluidity and motion.

The arrangement of the blinds follows a meticulous grid pattern, referencing the geometric rhythm of the original factory windows of the Pradiareň building. This architectural allusion ties the installation to its industrial context, creating a subtle dialogue between the contemporary art piece and the historical fabric of the space.

The old factory storage’s raw, open environment serves as the perfect backdrop for this delicate yet powerful intervention, where the boundaries of architecture and art blur. The floating partitions allow for a constantly changing atmosphere, inviting visitors to navigate through and experience the space in an ever-evolving way. This fusion of industrial heritage with contemporary design invites reflection on movement, space, and the passage of time.
