The assignment from the client was to create a mini cafe for an alternative community of people surrounded by dancers, DJs, musicians, people from culture and art... at the same time, there was a challenge to do something with such a small budget... the total budget was 10,000 euros...
The original name of the cafe was supposed to be HUE, which gave rise to the entire concept of the space
The interior is cleaned from unnecessary deposits from the previous users. The space exposed to its original nakedness becomes very raw. This rawness is followed by the bar and seating, which are made from ordinary building materials such as thermal isolation and then shaped into a discontinuous and deconstructive objects that reflects the container of the interior.
Together with the scraped plaster, these materials created a kind of neutral shell / packaging in which we inserted the main element of the interior and the whole concept - the lightningÂ
Hue, loosely translated, is a spectrum / spectrum of colors and we tried to bring that into the interior
This term was transformed into the main 16m long lighting of the cafe, which continuously changes colors and gives the interior a different character and atmosphere every moment.
The last inserted element is the ground floor or the sanitary... we decided to differentiate this part in terms of material, since it also fulfills another function... it is covered with thermofoil, which is used for air ducts... since it is a material with the ability to reflect the light flux, it helps to complete the whole concept HUE .. not to mention the inside of the toilets themselves
